This book is the latest in the "WILD ABOUT" series, developed by naturalist Dr Simon Rees and his artist mother, Pamela K Rees.

The previous guides to Hadrian’s Wall and the London Parks proved very popular.

Our aim in producing this series is to try to capture children’s interest and imagination whilst walking in some of our country’s most fascinating areas, and to encourage their appreciation of the wildlife to be found there.

Pamela K Rees is an artist living near
Canterbury in Kent.
Surrounded by The Garden of England
and near the coast, she uses the natural
history of the area to inspire her to
produce unique paintings and illustrations.
